The Internet Gift Store (http://www.internetgiftstore.com/) has re-launched with Joomla. The company was established in 1999 and was recently sold. The new owners of the business wanted to add a lot more functionality and required the e-commerce and content management platforms to be very flexible. The best option to move forward with the site was to scrap the existing Microsoft ASP and SQL Server solution and re-design the Store using Joomla. It will also start a new gadget section which will include product reviews and the latest in the world of high tech gadgets including the new Microsoft Zune MP3 player. Joomla will allow the Internet Gift Store to make the site a lot richer and a better customer experience. With the use of additional community products, components and modules the site will soon be able to offer competitions, product reviews, price comparison services, gift coupons and affiliate links. Once the company completes importing the current user base of over 20,000 members we will also re-start our monthly newsletter service.
